I met Blucher Chacon at Hawthorne Gospel Church where he has taught Sunday school for many years.  He told me he had left Hackensack High School in his sophomore year of high school to join the Navy around 1972. 

Blucher Chacon said he rose to the rank of Bowsmans Mate E-4.  He had joined the service at the tail end of the Vietnam War.
